1. Who We Are

DevKit4You (devkit4you.com) is a free, browser-based developer tools suite. We operate independently with no commercial data interests. Our tools include Base64 encoders/decoders, hash generators, JSON formatters, JWT decoders, UUID generators, and other developer utilities.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, process, or transmit:

• Any text, files, or data you enter into our tools
• Your IP address (beyond standard HTTP log retention by your hosting provider)
• Browser type, operating system, or device information
• Geographic location
• Usage patterns or tool interactions
• Names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information

3. How Our Tools Work

All computation — Base64 encoding/decoding, hash generation, JSON formatting, JWT inspection, UUID generation, and everything else — executes natively inside your web browser using JavaScript. Specifically, we use:

• Web Crypto API — for SHA-256, SHA-512, and SHA-1 hashing (built into your browser)
• FileReader API — for reading local files you choose to upload (files never leave your device)
• Clipboard API — for copy/paste functionality (only when you explicitly click "Copy")
• crypto.randomUUID() — for UUID generation (browser-native random number generation)
• QRCode.js — a client-side QR library loaded from Cloudflare CDN (generates QR codes in your browser)

When you upload a file or type text into any tool, that data is processed in your browser's memory and immediately discarded when you close or navigate away from the page.

4. Cookies

DevKit4You does not set any cookies — first-party or third-party.

We use sessionStorage only to remember if you have dismissed the announcement banner during your current browser session. This data is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab and is never sent to any server.

5. Analytics and Tracking

We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, Facebook Pixel, or any other analytics or tracking service. There are no tracking scripts of any kind on this website.

We do not use:

• Advertising networks or pixels
• Behaviour tracking or heatmap tools
• A/B testing platforms that collect user data
• Session recording tools
• Any third-party scripts that fingerprint your browser

6. Third-Party Services

DevKit4You loads resources from two external sources:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — used to load Familjen Grotesk and Fira Code typefaces. Google may log your IP address when serving these font files. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — used to load QRCode.js for the QR code generator. Cloudflare may log basic access data. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Neither of these services receives any of the data you input into our tools.

7. Your Rights

Since we collect no personal data, there is no data to access, correct, export, or delete. You have full and complete control over your data at all times because it never leaves your device.

If you are a resident of the European Union (GDPR), United Kingdom (UK GDPR), California (CCPA), or any other jurisdiction with data protection laws, those regulations do not impose obligations on us with respect to the data you enter into our tools, as we do not process that data.

8. Children's Privacy

DevKit4You is a general-purpose developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we collect no personal data from anyone, children's data is equally protected.

9. Security

Because all processing happens client-side, the security of your input data depends on the security of your own device and browser. We recommend:

• Keeping your browser up to date
• Not pasting sensitive production secrets (API keys, private keys) into any web-based tool
• Using DevKit4You over HTTPS (enforced by default)

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of DevKit4You after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
